Valkannadi is the most traditional model of aranmula mirrors. Valkannadi is famous for its feminine elegance and the old royal families had valkannadi’s in their collection. Valkannadi means – the mirror with a handle ( ‘Pidi’ in Malayalam). The Ashtamangalyam (the traditional set of eight auspicious items) is never complete without Aranmula Valkkannadi.
